Nearly 11 million kilometers from Earth, NASA’s DART mission successfully completed its intended collision with the asteroid Dimorphos. DART pushed the asteroid out of its orbit by pushing it at a speed of around 23,000 kilometers per hour.
The US Aerospace Agency’s (NASA) Double Asteroid Orientation Test (DART) spacecraft successfully collided with the asteroid as planned, around 11 million kilometers from the planet.
