The third “Yunhai-1” satellite from China has been launched. These satellites are intended to observe the atmosphere, ocean, and space environments.
According to news reports from the Xinhua news agency, the “Yunhay-1 03” satellite was launched using a Long March-2D carrier rocket from the Ciuçuen Satellite Center in the country’s northwest. The satellite has reportedly arrived at its intended destination.
The satellite, created by the Shanghai Space Flight Technology Academy (SAST), will be utilized for the study of disaster prevention and science.
Yunhay-1 satellites were put into orbit in two stages: the first in November 2016 and the second in September 2019.
The launch was the 438th successful use of Long March rockets.
