Epic Games has made a decision that will upset many game lovers. It has been announced that online services and servers for some old games will be shut down until January 24, 2023.
Epic Games, one of the leading names in the gaming industry, made a move that some players may not like.
In the statement made by Epic Games, it was announced that the servers and online services of 17 outdated games will be permanently closed. Among these productions, there are games loved by users such as Rock Band and Unreal Tournament. The company has already announced that it has stopped purchasing DLC for specified players.
However, it was also stated that players could continue to play some of these games in offline or multiplayer modes.
Here are the games that Epic Games will close online services for until January 24, 2023:
Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition
Unreal Tournament 2003
Unreal Tournament 2004
Unreal Tournament 3 (Epic plans to bring this game’s online services back in the future via Epic Online Services.)
Unreal Gold
Unreal II: The Awakening
Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars
Hatoful Boyfriend and Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star (Owners will be able to continue playing)
The Beatles: Rock Band
Rock Band 1 – 3 (Rock Band 4’s multiplayer feature will continue)
Monster (Probably) Stole My Princess
Green Day: Rock Band
Dance Central 1–3 (Dance Central VR’s multiplayer will continue)
1000 Tiny Claws
DropMix (Those who own this production will be able to play)
SingSpace
Battle Breakers (will be disabled on December 30th)
