According to Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne, the French government plans to invest 9 billion euros in the space industry in the next three years.

The French press reported that Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne stated, “France is preparing to invest more than 9 billion euros in the space sector in the next three years for our research and space industry,” at the opening of the 73rd International Congress of Astronautics (IAC), held in the nation’s capital, Paris.

“We want to be independent in our ability to access space.”
According to the news from AA, Borne stated that their first aim is to be self-sufficient in accessing space with the European Union and that this investment fits within the parameters of the space plan established by French President Emmanuel Macron in February.
