Elon Musk has announced that the brain-computer interface Neuralink initiative will begin human testing.

Elon Musk’s Neuralink project, which set out with the goal of establishing a direct connection between humans and computers thanks to a chip to be placed in the human brain, was tested on animals in 2020.
Looking to develop ultra-high-bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect humans and computers, Neuralink will help treat brain disorders, protect and enhance the human brain, and eventually connect humans with artificial intelligence.
Elon Musk organized a new presentation event for the brain-computer interface Neuralink initiative and made some statements.
The new event is the second major event held since the introduction of a monkey that can play video games using its mind last year.

Human testing begins
Elon Musk has announced that the brain chips developed by the company will now be tested on humans.
Musk said that they expect human trials of the chip developed by Neuralink and implanted in the brain to begin within 6 months. However, before these tests can begin, approval from the US Food and Drug Administration must first be obtained.
Elon Musk claims that in the future, diseases such as blindness and depression can be treated with Neuralink if they manage to get the implants deeper into the brain.
