The helicopter named Ingenuity, which previously reached an altitude of 12 meters, renewed its record with its last flight.

Launched by NASA on July 30, 2020, the Perseverance rover landed on Mars on February 18, 2021, after a 7-month journey. The vehicle later placed the mini helicopter named Ingenuity on the surface.
NASA, which made the first flight of the helicopter in April last year, has lifted the aircraft from the ground many times since then.

He broke the flight record
NASA, the American National Aeronautics and Space Administration, announced that the space helicopter sent to Mars broke a record.
Ingenuity set a new altitude record by rising 14 meters above the surface of Mars. This showed how well the technology and equipment of the helicopter were despite the harsh conditions.
The Mars helicopter, which weighs 1.8 kilograms, managed to break the altitude record by reaching 12 meters in its previous flight.

The helicopter named Ingenuity made history as the first helicopter to take off from a planet other than Earth.
On subsequent flights, the helicopter will image the Martian surface from the air and map the area for future manned Mars explorations.
In this way, Ingenuity will take aerial photographs of areas that the Perseverance vehicle on the surface cannot reach.
