Robot dogs will work to prevent contraband goods such as drugs and mobile phones from entering the prisons.

US Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Science and Technology plans to use robot dogs to patrol the Mexican border.
The ministry announced last February that it was testing quadrupedal robot dogs to ensure security on the southern border.
Later, the US Space Force announced in a military press release that they would start using robot dogs.
Robot dogs will now guard prisons
It was stated that the robot dogs, produced in the UK and introduced by the Secretary of Justice, Jo Farrar, will be equipped with nano cameras so that they will patrol outside the prisons to try to prevent escapes or illegal goods being brought into the prison.
Robot dogs will also be able to become pets for well-behaved inmates and take them for walks in the countryside using virtual reality headsets.
