The oldest star ever found in our galaxy, the Milky Way, and the neighboring solar system were found by a team of astronomers from the University of Warwick.
In their discovery, astronomers from the University of Warwick in the UK found the oldest star in the Milky Way galaxy, which also includes Earth and the solar system to which it belongs.
The white dwarf, the oldest star ever spotted by scientists, is 90 light-years away from Earth. Initial calculations show that the solar system, along with the planets and icy asteroids that orbit it, is more than 10 billion years old!
