According to the latest research by AppBrain, the world’s most popular smartphone was the Samsung Galaxy A12, which was released in 2020.
The Samsung Galaxy A12 in the budget segment was also the world’s best-selling smartphone in 2021.
Samsung’s superiority
In the list of the most popular Android phones, the Galaxy A21 is in second place and the Galaxy A10 is in third place. South Korean technology giant Samsung has its signature on 7 of the 10 most popular phones.
According to AppBrain, Samsung is the world’s largest manufacturer of Android smartphones, with 34.5 percent. The South Korean behemoth is followed by Chinese companies Xiaomi (14.4 percent), Oppo (10.4%), Vivo (9.8%), and Huawei (6.8%).
