Bob Hines and Jessica Watkins, flight engineers for Expedition 67, are glowing in this photo taken from the International Space Station’s cupola on September 12, 2022. The cupola is used to observe Earth and keep an eye on approaching spacecraft.
On October 12, 2022, Hines, Watkins, Kjell Lindgren, and astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti from the European Space Agency will start their journey back to Earth. Splashdown is planned for Thursday, October 13, at 5:41 p.m. EDT. This will be the conclusion of a nearly six-month science mission, during which Crew-4 members carried out innovative and exciting scientific research in fields like materials science, health technologies, and plant science to improve life on Earth and prepare for human exploration beyond low-Earth orbit.
